Overview

St. Luke’s offers medically supervised rehabilitation programs to help you safely improve your health and reduce the severity of symptoms. Our cardiac rehabilitation and pulmonary rehabilitation programs use modern exercise equipment and telemetry monitoring, a technique that enables continuous tracking of your heartbeat. While in our state-of-the-art fitness facilities, you wear a telemetry device with electrodes attached to your chest as you exercise and the device measures your vital signs and projects them on a screen that the staff monitors. They guide you on whether you should increase or decrease the intensity of your workout for maximum benefit. In this way, you learn what activity level is safe for you inside and outside of the gym. Your physician also has access to your results as you exercise. Our programs also provide education about other ways to improve your health.
